Your work stays yours.

My Rio is designed to handle desktop activity locally and use only the access needed to deliver the features you turn on.

What My Rio reads

To announce inbound activity, My Rio reads arrival metadata from your Mac, including which app a notification came from and when it arrived. It may briefly classify a notification title to distinguish activity such as a voicemail, missed call, invitation, or reminder.

What stays on your Mac

  • Notification and message scanning used for desktop alerts happens on your Mac.
  • AI usage statistics are calculated from supported local session logs on your machine.
  • Window positions, preferences, and settings are stored in your local user profile.

Message content

My Rio's local activity watcher is not designed to collect or upload message bodies or email contents. Notification details used for classification are discarded after the alert is handled.

Connected company systems

If your organization enables Command Center features, access to company systems is governed by your organization's configuration, credentials, and policies. My Rio shows the tools and information your organization has authorized for your account.

This website

The current My Rio website provides product information and the application download. It does not use advertising trackers, account forms, or marketing cookies.

Your choices

You can change My Rio's permissions in macOS System Settings and disable optional desktop behaviors in the app. Removing a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
